We are proud to announce that Jennifer Meyer Schrage, J.D. will be serving as our keynote speaker. Jennifer is the co-editor and an author in the upcoming publication Reframing Campus Conflict: Student Conduct Practice through a Social Justice Lens. Jennifer provides leadership to the Office of Student Conflict Resolution within the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Michigan. Jennifer’s approach to conflict resolution from a social justice perspective led her to propel the OSCR Team in departmental realignment and championed a nationally recognized full-spectrum menu of conflict resolution pathways, including mediation, restorative justice and related innovative methods. In coining the term “magic real estate” to describe the critical educational opportunity between an incident and an institutional reaction to campus conflict, it is the hope of the Circuit 7 Leadership Team that Jennifer will challenge us to think about the value of the experience we are providing our students through our conduct and conflict resolution processes. We are very excited to have Jennifer Meyer Schrage join us in this very important step towards realizing a new vision for the future of our profession.
