Webinar

Speaker Matthew T. Stimpson, Ph.D.

Company: Performa Higher Education

Event Description

How do we develop programmatic outcomes? How do we develop learning outcomes? What are the differences between these outcomes? How do we measure these outcomes?

This two part series of webinars will provide participants an overview of assessment in higher education administrative units with specific emphasis on assessment of student conduct offices/systems and services.

Divided into two parts, Session 2 of the webinar will focus on the development of outcomes specific to each participant's respective student conduct office/system. Particular attention will be given to discerning the difference between programmatic based outcomes and student learning based outcomes. Participants will also be provided a broad overview of ways in which these outcomes can be assessed. By the conclusion of Session 2, participants will be able to:
  • Write one programmatic outcome for their respective student conduct office/system
  • Write one student learning outcome for their respective student conduct office/system
  • List one way in which outcomes can be measured

Session 1 of the webinar will focus on the outcomes assessment process, assessment language, and major considerations before undertaking an assessment of student conduct office/system.  Session 1 will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm EST.
