This presentation is a “how to” guide for Student Conduct Administrators assisting faculty with enhancing their classroom management skills. Many faculty report challenges with managing student behavior in the classroom but have little training on how to address it. The expectation is that faculty demonstrate skill in minimizing student disruptions in the classroom and report the disruption through the college’s reporting structure. This presentation will highlight classroom management theories and will provide practical strategies for Student Conduct Officers to share with faculty for a quick resolve. This presentation will also build upon the importance of assisting faculty with understanding the student conduct policies and procedures, the importance of reporting, and address when to move from a classroom management perspective to reporting students for misconduct in the classroom.
