Presidential Graduate Assistantship Apps Due

The Presidential Graduate Assistantship has been developed to foster leadership opportunities within the Association for Student Conduct Administration. The Graduate Assistants (GA’s) will have opportunities to observe and interact with ASCA leadership, to experience the organization’s inner workings through the Board of Directors, to gain access to mentors and a professional network within the Association. In exchange for providing assistance under the direction of the ASCA President, the Presidential Graduate Assistants will receive complimentary waiver of the conference registration fee.
In addition, the ASCA Presidential Graduate Assistantship provides a unique opportunity to gain insight into the Board of Directors’ meetings, including the opportunity to interact directly with them. The main time commitment includes attending the Virutal Board of Director Meetings during the days prior to the annual conference, and providing clerical and administrative support as needed. Additional responsibilities may arise during the virtual annual conference as needed. Awardees of this assistantship would need to plan to be available the following dates and times:
Board Meetings:
Friday, February 5, 2021 from 1:00-6:00 pm ET
Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 12:00-7:00 pm ET
Monday, February 8, 2021 from 1:00-6:00 pm ET
Annual Conference:
Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 1:00-5:30 pm ET
Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 1:00-5:30 pm ET
Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 1:00-5:30 pm ET
Friday, February 12, 2021 from 1:00-5:30 pm ET

The Diversity Scholarship Fund was established to increase diversity through the recruitment of conduct professionals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The scholarship provides financial assistance to underrepresented students and professionals who play active roles in student conduct/disciplinary processes. Scholarships provide paid conference registration.

Each issue of Reflections on Student Conduct focuses on problems or timely issues related to the field of student conduct. Issue Editors and article authors need to speak clearly and confidently about the issues and best practices in a voice that can be understood by the greatest number of readers. Reflections on Student Conduct content should be based on current programs, best practices, and practically-applied research implications.
- Develop theme of issue based on Issue Editor’s subject matter expertise
- Identify and encourage authors to write topic-based articles
- Write Issue Editor’s Introduction to the issue
- Edit articles for content, clarity, and reader-engagement
