ASCA East Division 2016 Coffee: Catch Up and Connect

We are thrilled to host our guest speaker, Anne T. McKenna, to present on topics concerning privacy, social media, technology and university liability. Professor McKenna is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Penn State and Dickinson Law Schools. Professor McKenna is a highly regarded trial attorney and Partner at Baltimore-based Law Firm of Silverman|Thompson|Slutkin|White|LLC, where she leads the Firm's cyber law group.  Professor McKenna is co-author of two leading treatises on electronic surveillance and cyber law and evidence.  Professor McKenna's publications are routinely cited by federal and state courts across the country.  She is a frequent guest on national and local broadcast news, and Professor McKenna has been quoted by numerous print publications, including The Washington Post, The New York Daily News, and The Baltimore Sun. In her law school courses, Professor McKenna teaches about speech, privacy, electronic surveillance, and media law.  Professor McKenna also works frequently with educational institutions on privacy, social media, cyber law, student speech issues, liability, and information privacy and technology acceptable use policies.
 
Participants are encouraged to be familiar with and bring along copies of their institution's code of student conduct and technology acceptable use policies or information technology policies that regulate student use of the institutions electronic systems and govern student online activity.
