Definitions:
Meeting - a regularly scheduled time for the community of practice, committee or Region to conduct the business of the group. For example, it is the time to do planning, talk direction or strategy. Attendance for meetings is open to all ASCA members and will be published on the ASCA Calendar on the organizations website for any member to register for. Links to meetings will be sent by the ASCA Central Office to all individuals who are registered for the specific meeting and for those individuals who are listed as a member of that group within the ASCA website.Program - a specific education topic to be address by the community of practice, committee or Region. It may include a guest speaker, or other provided speciality content germane to the group. The intended audience may be the community of practice, committee or region. Attendance for these programs are open to All ASCA members, non-members may attend for a fee. Programs will be published on the ASCA Calendar on the organizations website for any individual to register.
Event - similar to a program, however it is larger in scale and scope, for example webinar or an in-person event. A Registration fee will be charged with a difference between members and non-members. Attendance is open to All. See below for more information.
Requesting Funding:
ASCA has allocated $6300 for committees, communities of practice, and region to utilize for ASCA events and programs. This form should be completed the individual coordinating the event. Please be sure to also submit the appropriate event request form below to accompany your request for funding. Requests must be submitted at least 14 days in advance of the event.Requesting Travel:
ASCA will make every effort to accommodate the travelers requested flight but all flights must be booked at the most affordable rate. If the travelers does not provide a recommended flight ASCA will book the the best option available. It is the responsibility of the traveler to make changes to the flight itiniary after the flight has been booked. ASCA will not incur the additional cost for the difference in airfare or change fees.
Requesting Communications & Marketing:

- Meeting planning, and facilitation are the responsibility of the meeting planner.
- ASCA will provide a Zoom line and/or updated membership roster. The ASCA Central Office will send meetings links to all those registered for the event and those who are listed as members of the group on the ASCA website.
- Meetings will be included on the ASCA calendar and open to the entire ASCA membership.
Planning Programs:
- Opportunity for for affinity and/or identity groups, committees, communities of practice, regions, and related entities to do more structured education, such as a panel or speaker to address a specific topic germane to the group.
- Program planning, and facilitation are the responsibility of the program planner.
- ASCA will provide a Zoom line and/or updated membership roster. The ASCA Central Office will send meetings links to all those registered for the event and those who are listed as members of the group hosting the program on the ASCA website.
- Programs will be included on the ASCA calendar and open to the entire ASCA membership. However, if the intended audience is a specific identity, that information will be included in the registration information. For example, this program intended for women of color.
Planning Events:
Submit a Webinar Proposal
Have an idea for a topic to share with your student conduct colleagues? Consider presenting it as a webinar!- Presenters entitled to two free webinar registrations for use by institution colleagues.
- Presenters may receive a 20% revenue share, split between presenters, when feasible.
- Planning form will require preferred dates/times, presenter information/brief bio, and session abstract.
- ASCA will handle registration, promotion, logistics, and provide a host. Webinar pricing is determined at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Submit a Virtual Event Proposal
This form is most appropriate when planning an event such as a seminar, training, or drive-in to be hosted via a virtal platform.- ASCA will facilitate registration and collect related fees, if applicable.
- Program planning is the responsibility of event planner(s), however ASCA staff is available to assist with logistics.
- If partnering with another organization, MOU must be signed by all entities prior to promotion of event.
- Expenses must be approved by ASCA Staff prior to commitments such as honorariums, registration fees, or other items with financial implications.
- ASCA will approve financial support for an event built on a zero-based budget (ie: anticipated income budgeted to meet or exceed expenses). The most common expenses for virtual events are closed captioning and/or virtual platform hosting such as Zoom or Tovuti.
Submit In-Person Event Proposal
Ideal for in-person seminars, trainings, or drive-ins.- ASCA will facilitate registration and collect related fees, if applicable.
- Event planning is the responsibility of event planner(s), however ASCA staff is available to assist with logistics.
- If partnering with another organization, MOU must be signed by all entities prior to promotion of event.
- Expenses must be approved by ASCA Staff prior to commitments such as honorariums, catering, facility rental, etc.
- ASCA will approve financial support for an event built on a zero-based budget (ie: anticipated income budgeted to meet or exceed expenses). Write a Blog
ASCA welcomes guest bloggers on a rolling basis.- Content must be applicable to the field of student conduct administration. Blog proposal and final content will be reviewed by the Creative Content Committee prior to posting.
- Excellent way to support ASCA, share knowledge, and get published!
- Form requires basic topical information and intended abstract.
