In Portland for NASPA’s Western Regional Conference? Stay an extra day and join student conduct professionals in an engaging day exploring the nuances of effective threat assessment. Presenters include campus law enforcement and behavioral intervention team chairs. Explore best practices, emerging trends, and case studies from our institutions.

Presenters:
Julie Draper Davis serves as the Associate Dean of Students at Pierce College, a community college in Washington state. In her role, Julie oversees student conduct for the College as well as chairs the Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment Team for students and employees. Julie has happily served as the Washington State Coordinator for ASCA for the past 3 years and enjoys planning opportunities to create a strong network of conduct colleagues for the state.

Charlie Ahlquist serves as Assistant Dean of Student Rights and Responsibilities at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon.  In addition to coordinating the resolution of student conduct matters through restorative practices, Charlie chairs L&C's Welfare Intervention Network, managing threat assessment and behavioral intervention for members of the community who may be a danger to themselves or others.  Charlie has been involved in the world of student conduct for over a decade, and has coordinated the activities of the Oregon Student Conduct Administrators group as the ASCA State Coordinator since 2016.  

Suzy Tannenbaum currently serves as the Chief of Public Safety at Oregon State University. Suzy has over 25 years of law enforcement and public safety experience serving at a wide variety of institutional types in higher education including Clackamas Community College, Oregon Health and Sciences University, and Oregon State University. Suzy has a strong commitment to collaboration with campus partners including students, staff and faculty to make campus a safer place to study, work, play and live.
