In 2016, the DOE released their "Beyond the Box" guidance to provide more access to institutions for individuals with criminal records. Prior to this guidance, the University of South Florida (USF) established an Admissions Prior Conduct Review process to accomplish this. Please join us for a webinar that will review the guidance, USF's process, and applicable data.

Presenter Bio:
Joshua Cutchens is an Assistant Director in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities at the University of South Florida where he is responsible for reviewing disclosures by degree and non-degree seeking applicants for all three campuses of the University System.  Additionally, Joshua co-facilitates the Admissions Prior Conduct Review Team, which consists of multiple campus constituents with a vested interest in the review process.  He has worked in the field of student conduct since 2011, specifically with the Admissions Prior Conduct process for the past five years.  Previously, when Joshua worked at Florida Gulf Coast University, he was the representative in the Dean of Students’ Office who reviewed and made recommendations on applicants who had conduct disclosures.
