Covering basic assessment practices and applying them to student conduct, we’ll discuss outcome writing, data collection strategies, analysis and reporting. Whether you think you know nothing about assessment or want to confirm that what you’re already doing is “right,” we’ll cover best practices, identify areas for growth, and share resources.

Heather is the Director of the Office of Community Standards at the University of Notre Dame. She brings 20+ years of student conduct, residence life and student development experience from various colleges and universities to the Office of Community Standards.She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education with an Emphasis in College Student Affairs Leadership from Grand Valley State University (MI) and a bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Public Communication from Central Michigan University. Heather is Co-Chair of the ASCA Assessment in Conduct Community of Practice.

Mathew is the Assistant Director for Student Conduct & Operations at New York University. He has worked in student conduct for nearly 10 years, with more than five years working full-time in conduct offices. Mathew previously worked at the University of Maryland, College Park and Loyola University Maryland. He holds a master's degree in Higher Education & Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of Kansas. Mathew is Co-Chair of the ASCA Assessment in Conduct Community of Practice.
