Job Description:

The College of Wooster is seeking a Director of Student Rights & Responsibilities and Deputy Title IX Coordinator to start August 1, 2020. The role of this position is to foster an environment of safety and well-being for The College of Wooster students through education and awareness of individual responsibility and adherence to community standards for acceptable behavior as outlined in The Scot's Key, the student code of conduct.

The Director will ensure fairness in the College's response to conduct issues and will strive to inspire trust and confidence in the College's response to allegations of misconduct and the College's conduct process. The Director's outreach to students will aid in the personal growth and development of students and have a direct impact on campus climate.

This position also serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator; providing back-up and support services to the Title IX Coordinator. Duties include, assisting in managing reports of sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination from receipt to resolution and work with investigators in the Title IX investigative process.

Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs/ Senior Associate Dean of Students and in collaboration with other Dean of Students staff as well as other campus partners, the Director will incorporate restorative practices into the College's processes and use a student centered approach. The Director will treat people with respect; keep commitments; include appropriate people in decision making; work with integrity and ethically; and uphold the values of the College of Wooster.



A master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education, Counseling or related field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in student conduct and/or student affairs.
