Director, Student Accountability

The Director of the Office of Student Accountability, Community Standards, and Academic Integrity in the Dean of Students division at Vanderbilt University is responsible for overseeing the student accountability system and the Undergraduate Honor Council. This position serves as the chief accountability officer for students. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of Students for Community Standards and Student Support, the Director has original jurisdiction over violations of non-academic policies by students (excluding sexual misconduct and discrimination cases), and investigates, holds accountability meetings, and renders decisions pertaining to alleged violations of University policy.

The Director is responsible for charging and sanctioning students under the Student Discrimination policy.  The Director advises the Undergraduate Honor Council, which has original jurisdiction over violations of the Honor Code by undergraduate students, and the Interfraternity Council Judicial Team.  The Director is responsible for student compliance with mandatory programs, activities, and trainings.  The Director ensures that all policies and procedures are in compliance with necessary federal and state laws and regulations.
