Sr. Student Programs Coordinator
Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Sr. Student Programs Coordinator for the Robeson Campus Center – Newark. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Community Standards. This position is responsible for serving as the primary student conduct officer and investigator for Title IX complaints, spearheading the recruitment and training process for all involved student conduct program parties, and overseeing the Maxient database system. The duties of the Sr. Student Programs Coordinator includes and are not limited to:
  • Provides support for the Assistant Dean in coordinating the functions of the Community Standards office
  • Coordinates student development initiatives including advisement and training of Rutgers University-Newark Honor Council
  • Coordinates and facilitates workshops that promote the University Code of Student Conduct and the importance of ethical decision making
  • Coordinates campus-wide PR campaign to educate campus community about the Code of Student Conduct and to promote ethical/responsible decision making
  • Develops materials for use at these training programs

Requirements
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of student development and leadership, student organization advising, event planning and coordination, workshop facilitation, office administration and report writing.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse student population.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in an administrative function and computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in higher education.
  • Working knowledge of the Maxient Database System.
