Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Conflict Resolution and Community Engagement
The Assistant Dean of Students/Director is responsible for promoting community standards of aloha, pono, and kuleana; implementing educational programs and awareness campaigns leading students to develop and strengthen their moral, civic, and ethical responsibilities; serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff when addressing conflict within the community; and resolving student-to-student conflicts in a student-centered approach. The Assistant Dean of Students/Director will also provide programs and activities to educate and prevent alcohol and drug abuse and sex discrimination, which contribute to student success and community inclusion. In addition, the Assistant Dean of Students/Director supervises the full-time Housing and Residence Life staff, is responsible for compliance with the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act, and will serve as the Title IX Deputy Coordinator. |

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Three years professional experience in student conduct, mediation, and/or Title IX leadership and responsibilities.
- Three years of experience with adjudicating non-academic disciplinary cases as a campus disciplinary officer/case manager.
- One year experience with investigating Title IX cases relating to sexual harassment and sexual misconduct.
- One year experience in educating and training others on sexual violence prevention and coordinating alcohol and drug educational programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mediation and restorative justice practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling or related field.
- Four or more years of professional experience in student activities, student affairs, student support services, counseling, higher education, or a related field.
- Four or more years of experience in student conduct, campus discipline and Title IX leadership and responsibilities.
- Two or more years of experience with investigating Title IX cases relating to sexual harassment and sexual misconduct.
- Two or more years in educating and training others on sexual violence prevention and coordinating alcohol and drug educational programs
- Direct work experience with facilitating mediation and restorative justice practices.
- Knowledge of HPU policies and procedures.
